Oldun Skin Consults

Before you agree

What to ask a provider before you decide

You can take your time. These questions help you weigh a treatment before you commit to anything.

Good questions to bring

You are allowed to ask all of these. Most providers expect them.

  • Who performs the treatment, and are they supervised by anyone?
  • What license and training do they have?
  • What product or device is used, and where does it come from?
  • How do you decide if this is suitable for me?
  • What does a typical course of treatment look like?
  • What aftercare is needed?
  • What do you do if I have a reaction or a problem afterward?
  • What is the total price, including any follow-up visits?

Write it down first

Memory is unreliable when you are in an unfamiliar room with a lot of new information. A short written list keeps the conversation on track.

Put down your medical conditions, medications and supplements, allergies, and any cosmetic treatments you have had before. Add the questions you care about most. If you have photos of a skin concern that changes over time, you can bring those too.

Red flags worth noticing

  1. You are told a special offer ends today.
  2. No one asks about your health history.
  3. Treatment is offered before any consultation.
  4. You cannot get a clear answer about who will perform it or what license they hold.
  5. The cost changes or will not be put in writing.

Any one of these is a good reason to slow down. State boards in Florida let you look up a license online.

Ask your questions first. A local provider can contact you by phone, text or email.
